Repair or Replacement?
Most water line problems don't require replacing the whole line. If the damage is limited to one section, a repair is usually faster and less expensive. We recommend full or partial water line replacement when the pipe material has deteriorated broadly (common in older galvanized lines) rather than failing at just one point.
If the line has actually burst, that's a broken water line situation, a different, faster process than a standard repair.

How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?
It depends on how much of the line is affected. A single damaged section usually just needs a repair. If the pipe material itself is failing throughout (common with older galvanized piping), replacement is often the better long-term call. We'll tell you which situation you're in after the diagnostic step, not before.
Will fixing my water line tear up my whole yard?
Not usually. Once we've located the problem, we can typically access just that section rather than digging the entire line's path.
How urgent is a water line repair?
The urgency depends on the severity of the issue. Active water pooling, significant pressure loss, or signs of flooding should be addressed promptly. A gradual increase in water usage or a less noticeable pressure change is a good reason to schedule an inspection to determine the cause before it worsens.
