HERE ARE OUR LATEST REVIEWS:My yard service line broke in the middle of the yard between the water meter and the house. I called S&B who arrived in less than 2 hours. After locating the break, they determined that the existing yard service line was made of polybutylene which is no longer allowed by code. I was quoted $250 to perform a repair or $900 – $1,000 to replace the yard service line. Due to evidence of prior repairs, I opted to replace the entire yard service line. After the entire yard service line was excavated, it was determined that the polybutylene was run under the slab and couldn’t be replaced. Instead, a new copper pipe with an outside cut-off was installed where an outside water nozzle was located. This increased the cost to $1,100 plus $75 for the city permit for a total cost of $1,175. Water was restored by late afternoon. The quality of the work was very good and they did an excellent job of filling in the trench and replacing the grass. They were very courteous and professional. Sugar Land Plumbing, a division of S&B Plumbing, was very responsive to my call. When I asked about ballpark costs for some of the items, the representative was cordial and outlined some general guidelines for pricing. I had no problem getting an appointment and the plumber was very professional, courteous and neat in both his appearance and his work product. He arranged to get the converter from Moen (it was under warranty and we only paid labor) and was efficient in his repairs. We were very pleased with the work — the new on/off valves for the washing machine were installed with new hoses — and felt the costs were reasonable and competitive. We will be using Sugar Land/S&B again for any future plumbing needs!D.M.I originally called another provider (is listed as an A) who was closer to my house. No one answered so I left a voicemail. After 2 hours of no call back, I tried S&B. They answered the phone immediately, very politely asked a few details of my problem and understood exactly what it was, quoted $119, then set up a visit the next morning. Once Adam arrived, he was very professional, listened to all my plumbing concerns/issues, then proceeded to get to work. I was on the 2nd floor and you could barely tell someone was working on the plumbing on the 3rd. Adam, and his assistant (didn’t catch his name), finished in no time. In a manner I could understand the plumbing background, explained to me what was happening and even how I can avoid it going forward. I can now, thankfully, given Houston heat, run the AC and pipes are clean! I rarely give reviews, and I understand that my issue was fairly basic, but I feel very confident in saying that I recommend S&B and rate an “A” for all qualities.B.H.To All, The Bentsen Project is complete and Mrs. Bentsen is VERY happy with the end results of the beautiful addition to her home. Thanks so much Nicole.I also wanted to pass along that while no one ever wants to spend $2,250.00 on “surprise” plumbing problems, I have to say that our experience with the entire S&B crew at our home was excellent. The crew was on time, started to work within 5 minutes of arriving, worked solid all day long (some people took lunch and others still worked) and they worked hard and constantly. Mike, Bo and the entire team were careful of tracking dirt and mud in the house and they even identified a few smaller problems and remedied them before they became big problems. They cleaned up perfectly and I watched as the crew paid great attention to small details (like using steel wool on the floor before reseating the toilet, using a razor blade to get excess caulking off the bottom edge of each toilet and even using cleaner and paper towels to clean up all the mess made from their work).I hope to never have a problem like this again, but if I do, you can rest assured we’ll call S&B again. This is the 4th or 5th time we’ve used you guys because I went to Bellaire with Wayne, William and Bo. Tell the owners that we are appreciative of the excellent work and attention to detail and that you guys have a great team of employees. Thanks for the great work.M.E.Water was accumulating in my outside patio although no water was showing inside the house other than in the garage area. But the floor underneath my vinyl flooring was beginning to raise up. S&B sent a plumber and he found the leak quickly, fix it and spoke to my insurance representative. He also estimated some other jobs I may want done and actually fix a long time problem with trying to disconnect the water tubing going to the refrigerator on the other side of the room. Several plumbing contacts were made to other companies that couldn’t figure out how to stop the water flow while taking out the line. Mike from S&B just fixed it along with the original dishwasher intake leak. Very good experience. - M.A.
